The Rev. Dr. Roy Talmadge Brumbaugh was the well known pastor of the Bible Presbyterian Church of Tacoma, Washington. He was graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1919, and was a founding member of The Independent Board for Presbyterian Foreign Missions. In 1950, he and the Rev. Joseph Kinney of Johnson City, New York, went on a round-the-world trip representing the International Council of Christian Churches.
Recently, two of Dr. Brumbaugh’s grandsons, Ned Donoghue and David Sinding, assembled their grandfather’s diary from this journey, and painstakingly transcribed and assembled it in digital format. We are thankful for their generosity in allowing us to place this with the historical documents under the About tab. Many other important Christian leaders of the 20th century are mentioned in this diary, including Carl McIntire, T.T. Shields, and Thomas A. Lambie.
